The City of Quincy aims to partner with a qualified and responsible company for the waterproofing and damp proofing services and all labor, tools, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, staging, trucking and supervision necessary for on-call installation, repair, remedy, replacements, and/or renewals in City owned public buildings, including but not limited to schools and municipal buildings. Firm bid prices will be given first consideration. Bids will be received at the Office of the Purchasing Department until the time and date stated above, at which time and date they will be publicly opened and read. Late Bids delivered by mail or in person will be rejected. All questions regarding this bid should be directed to Kathryn R. Questions will be accepted until May 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. The bidding and award of this contract shall be in full compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as last revised. All applicable Federal, State and City of Quincy regulations in relation to and subject to the minimum wage rates set under the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law Chapter 149, _26 to 27H and/or any applicable federal rates. The City of Quincy reserves the right to withdraw the Bid; to reject any and all bids; and to accept any bids deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Quincy. Non-responsive and/or unbalanced bids may be rejected. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is made in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 149. All work later awarded pursuant to any one or more contracts entered into pursuant to this ITB is subject to said Chapter149, including prevailing wages, certified payrolls, and when required, payment and performance bonds. The City of Quincy acting through its Department of Public Buildings is seeking bids from qualified and responsible Waterproofing Installation, Repair and Maintenance contractors who customarily perform services in the waterproofing and damp-proofing trade to provide all labor, tools, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, staging, trucking, and supervision necessary for on-call installation, repair, remedy, replacements, and/or renewals on an on-call basis in City owned public buildings, included but not limited to schools and municipal buildings. Being that this Invitation to Bid is for "on-call services" there are no specific job specifications, schedule of work or specific project contract documents available at this time. At such time or times as the City of Quincy, acting through its Department of Public Buildings, elects to undertake work, the Department will prepare plans and specifications and will seek written price proposals from one or more successful respondents to this ITB. Any contract awarded through this ITB will be for a minimum of one year with a City option to extend annually for two additional one year periods. These same services may be provided to other Departments of the City of Quincy under the contemplated contract or contracts with the approval of the Commissioner of the Department of Public Buildings. II. Scope of Work Provide all labor, tools, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, staging, trucking, and supervision and all other things necessary for maintenance and repair of the Waterproofing systems and equipment for any public building or public building system or equipment as directed by the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works, or his designee, ("DPB" or "Commissioner") in accordance with the requirements and needs of the City of Quincy ("City").
