Site work and asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in Methuen, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Methuen Public Schools is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the Abatement of existing carpet flooring over residual asbestos floor mastic for the Timony Grammar School located at 45 Pleasant View Street, Methuen, MA 01844; the project is for eventual new floor tile installation. The project utilizes City funds and is subject to prevailing wage rates. Specifically, selective interior demolition may be required to allow for abatement activities that are being bid to allow for the necessary future floor upgrading of the Site facility No Bid will be considered that is not accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to the "Methuen Public Schools". This bid deposit will become the property of the Methuen Public Schools if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract. The Methuen School Committee reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the public to do so. No Bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of bids.
