Renovation of a municipal facility in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
** As of October 10/07/2025, project has been awarded to both GC and Sub yet no awarded amount available ** The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Municipal Building: Complete removal of the existing roofing system at the Municipal Building (approximately 19,500 square foot). Replacement of the roofing systems, including insulation, membrane roofing, flashing, lightning protection, and other associated work. Removal and replacement of existing mechanical units at the Municipal Building. Installation of new photovoltaic array and associated equipment. Any other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 2. Public Works Complex: Complete removal of the existing roofing system at three buildings at the Public Works Complex (approximately 39,700 square foot). Replacement of the roofing systems, including insulation, membrane roofing, flashing, and other associated work. Installation of new photovoltaic arrays at the North Shed and Office Buildings in the Public Works Complex. Any other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Radnor Township is soliciting multi-prime sealed bids for the RADNOR TOWNSHIP ROOF REPLACEMENT AND PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR ARRAY INSTALLATION PROJECT Contract #B-25-006B. Location a. Municipal Building: 301 Iven Ave, Wayne, PA 19087. b. Public Works Complex: 235 Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. Complete removal of the existing roofing system at the Municipal Building (approximately 19,500 square foot including parapets). Replacement of the roofing systems, including insulation, membrane roofing, flashing, lightning protection, and other associated work. Removal and replacement of existing mechanical units at the Municipal Building. Installation of new photovoltaic array and associated equipment. The Notice of Intent to Award Date for This Project is Tentatively Scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025 and the Award Date for This Project is Tentatively Scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025. The Project Must Be Completed No Later Than One Hundred Eighty (180) Days After Notice to Proceed. In the Event of a Delay to the Project Completion Terms as Per the Schedule for Which Contractor is Solely Responsible, Contractor Shall Pay Liquidated Damages to Radnor Township at a Rate of $880.00 Per Day of Delay for Every Day Beyond the One Hundred-eighty (180) Days Allowed for Project Completion. Close of Questions): Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 4:00 Pm Est the Township Requires Compliance With the Provisions of Ordinance 2022-08, Responsible Contractor Requirements for Township Contracts. Change Order(S) Will Be Considered Extending the Project Timeline Due to Delays Outside of the Contractor's Control, as Defined in the Contract Documents. The Township Will Not Accept Bids From Any Firm/corporation That Are Currently in Litigation With the Township. A Bid Security in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Bid is Required. Bid Security Shall Be in the Form of Either a Bid Bond Issued by a Corporate Surety Approved by the Secretary of Insurance to Do Business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a Certified Check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit Issued by a Bank Licensed to Do Business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If a Firm Fails to Provide a Contractor Responsibility Certification Required by This Section in Any Bid Submission to the Township, Such Failure Shall Constitute Grounds to Reject Such Bid as Non-compliant With This Ordinance and Shall Disqualify Such Firm From Bidding. No Action of Any Nature Shall Lie Against the Township Because of Its Refusal to Accept or Award a Bid for Failing to Provide Information Required by This Section.
