Annual Contract for Mechanical Joint Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings Re-Bid CONTRACT PERIOD 8/1/25 through 7/31/26 with two 1-year extension options The bidder offers and agrees, if this bid is accepted, to furnish the items as defined in the specifications for the unit price set opposite each item. Pricing shall be FOB Mobile, Alabama. All items shall be delivered to our Warehouse located at 1610 Shelton Beach Rd Ext. or to the job site as needed. The bidder shall state the expected length of delivery time on the Bid Form. No bid on closed out or discontinued item(s) will be accepted. Item(s) that have a determinable shelf life must be disclosed at the time of bid submittal. Bidder understands that his/her bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. Bidder understands and agrees that quantities will be purchased by MAWSS on an “as needed” basis to replenish inventory. MAWSS shall not be committed to the purchase of a pre-established minimum quantity for any one item. The Ductile Iron pipe shall meet requirements of current AWWA Specifications C151 with Mechanical Joint or Push-on Joint type pipe. Working pressure shall be a minimum of 150 psi. Design thickness and pressure classes are listed below: • Diameter 3” Class 52 • Diameter 4” – 12” Class 350 • Diameter 14” – 24” Class 250 • Diameter 30” – 60” Class 150 The interior of all pipe shall be cement mortar lined as specified in AWWA Specification C104, and the exterior shall receive an approved bituminous coating. All gaskets, bolts and lubricants shall be furnished. Ductile Iron pipe shall be centrifugally cast with minimum wall thickness in accordance with current AWWA. The pressure rating, metal thickness, net weight of pipe without lining, length of pipe, name of the manufacturer and letters “DI” shall be clearly marked on each length of pipe. Pipe will be ordered in truckload quantities when possible. Circumstances could arise requiring less than truckload quantities. Circumstances may also arise when we would need 100ft of 6” MJ Pipe and 8” MJ Pipe in a 24 hr delivery time. Category “C” Specifications for Ductile Iron Mechanical Joint Fittings (Water) Fittings shall be Mechanical Joint, Ductile Iron Compact Fitting Class 350 type, meeting current AWWA C153 Specifications and shall be cement lined. Fittings shall be cement mortar lined and the exterior coated with an approved bituminous coating in accordance with current AWWA Specifications C104. Fittings shall meet or exceed all applicable terms and provisions of current AWWA and ANSI Specifications. Fittings shall be from one of the following companies only: US Pipe, Tyler Union, Sigma Corporation, or SIP Industries. Fittings are to include gaskets and bolts only.
