The City of St. George is requesting bids to: Furnish and Install 3200 feet if 36 inch SDR sewer main and manholes. Question Deadline 05/21/2025 at 2:00 PM MT Location online portal. Project Address: ____Fort Pierce Dr & Bloomington Hills Dr_ Every BID shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the BID, naming the City of St. George as obligee, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George. The 100% performance - labor and materials bond will be required on this project. The City of St. George reserves the right to reject any or all PROPOSALS or to waive any formality or technicality in any PROPOSAL in the interest of the city. The project consists of constructing a 36-inch diameter sewer line adjacent to existing 10-inch and 18-inch diameter sewer lines. The project extends along the St. George Golf Club from approximately the south side of Fort Pierce Drive in St. George Utah to the edge of Fort Pierce Wash. There is existing asbestos concrete pipe adjacent to the new 36-inch sewer pipe alignment. The contractor shall take precaution to not expose this existing pipe except as noted in the construction drawings to extending existing mains to the new 36-inch line and to replace sections of the existing 10-inch line with the new 36-inch line. The contractor shall notify the City of St. George at least 48 hours in advance of any excavation in the vicinity of existing asbestos concrete lines. The contractor will exercise caution to not disturb any asbestos concrete lines during construction. If an asbestos concrete line conflicts with new construction the contractor shall contact the City. The City will remove and properly dispose of disturbed asbestos concrete sewer pipe that is necessary for the completion of the project. The Contractor is responsible to maintain sewer service during the progression of the work. The Contractor is also responsible to notify homeowners that will be affected by construction 48 hours in advance of construction activities. No single homeowner shall have the sewer out of service for more than two consecutive days and for no more than 8 hours at a time. All sewer services shall function between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
