SUNY Morrisville invites qualified contractors to submit bids for a term contract for work to be completed on a time and material basis. The intent of this bid is that a contract will be signed with selected contractors for a specified period of time, to engage and complete specific construction trade related projects each with a value not-to-exceed $100,000. The total contract enumeration will not exceed $1,000,000. Each separate project will be issued based on estimated time and material and is called a “RELEASE”. The agreement will be issued for a period of three years. The Campus reserves the right to award a contract to two bidders for each trade. Contractors are encouraged to bid on more than one trade if they are qualified to perform in those trades. Separate term contracts will be executed for the following trades: 1. General Contractor 2. Carpentry 3. Roofing 4. Site/civil 5. Environmental Testing & Monitoring 6. Environmental Abatement 7. HVAC 8. Electrical 9. Communications 10. Plumbing 11. Fire Protection Systems 12. Masonry & Exterior Restoration Document Notes : CHECKS should be made payable to Plan and Print Systems, Inc. Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.00 or $30.00, made payable to Plan and Print Systems, Inc., is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
