Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Jersey City, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project will replace traffic signal heads, install retroreflective backplates, provide ADA compliant curb ramps, and implement high-visibility crosswalks at the signalized intersections. At the Tonnelle Circle, lane use pavement markings and signage will be added to improve driver expectancy. The eastbound approach at Manhattan Avenue will be modified to include an exclusive left turn lane, a through lane, and an exclusive right turn lane, along with the addition of 'DO NOT BLOCK' intersection markings. Geometric modifications at the County Road intersection include relocating of Ann Street to intersect with Ramp B. This relocation removes an unsignalized leg at a signalized intersection, further improving traffic management and safety. Improvements include applying HFST and installing impact attenuators at the barrier ends.
