Renovation of a municipal facility in Sarnia, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project includes installation of a new passenger elevator at 105 Christina Street, Sarnia. The elevator will be accessible to the main entrance to accommodate tenants on all occupied floors and will meet NBC, ACA, & AODA codes as well fire fighter emergency operation requirements, including allow for prone stretcher access. Interior renovations, including a new corridor, tenant space modifications, and heritage lobby elements will be required, while respecting the building's heritage values and conserving its character-defining elements. Each Bidder must submit a letter from a surety or financial institution confirming its willingness to provide the required bonds, or irrevocable standby letter of credit, if awarded the Contract in respect to this RFPQ. If awarded the Contract, and in the event the Contract Price is equal to or greater than $100,000.00, the Contractor shall provide the following contract security that shall be in effect for the entirety of the term of the Contract: .1 a performance bond and labour and materials payment bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price; or 2 an irrevocable standby letter of credit in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price, naming "BGIS Global Integrated Solutions Canada LP" as beneficiary, issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank, and based on the Contract Price as may be amended from time to time.
