2025 Archives Facility Elevator Replacement. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with a bidder's bond or certified check payable to St. Joseph County, Indiana in the amount totaling at least ten percent (10%) in its proposal. The surety on any bond must be acceptable to the County. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each, within ten (10) days afterward of the contract and a two (2) year Maintenance Bond in the amount of thirty percent (30%) of the contract price prior to completion and final payment of the contract. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt for the receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw a bid within the sixty (60) days after the actual opening of the bids. All bid bonds and certified checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned by the County upon selection of the successful bidder and execution of a contract, and provision of the required performance bond and payment bond.
