Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Jesup, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Work in general consists of approximately 1082 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main, 1075 feet of 6-inch water main, 735 feet of 8-inch water main, 4125 feet of subdrain tile, 5300 square yards of 8-inch concrete street, 2280 feet of curb and gutter and 655 ton of asphalt pavement (Alternate 1) or 3900 square yards of 6-inch concrete street (Alternate 2), 1335 square yards of concrete sidewalk, and related and incidental items located on Ainsworth Street from 4th Street to Hopkins Street, on Hopkins Street from Ainsworth Street to Prospect Street, and on Prospect Street from Hopkins Street to 6th Street within the City of Jesup. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount including all add alternates. Base Bid: $1,575,098; Alternate 1: $260,750; Alternate 2: $291,300 The successful bidder will be required to furnish a construction performance, payment, and maintenance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Said bonds to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and the maintenance of said improvements in good repair from the time of acceptance of the improvements by the City for not less than two (2) years. Contractor shall fully complete the work within 75 working days with a late start date of June 18, 2025. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per Working Day will be assessed for each Working Day that any work shall remain uncompleted beyond the number of Working Days allowed. The City of Jesup reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities.
