No definite date for the rebid.** DESCRIPTION: SCIP 21/22 Med Surge 2 Rooms 372, 378, and 385: Work includes the following: Replacement of existing fume hood with a new 4-foot ADA fume hood. Removal of an existing door between Rooms 372 and 385, patch the door jamb/head, and create a cased opening between Rooms 372 and 385. Clean the existing lab benches and provide new tables, the scope for new tables will be a bid alternate. Install new flooring and install new floor base throughout. Paint the walls/ceilings, and doors/door frames throughout. Provide mechanical exhaust ducting for the 4-foot fume hood, which is to be reworked/replaced. Replace lab sinks, hot/cold water faucets, and DI water faucets. Replace the existing light fixtures with new LED light fixtures. Provide a new dimming switch system and new ceiling motion sensors. Install new data cables from Telecom Room 361B and provide Wiremold lab bench pedestal table boxes for the tabletop data jacks. Provide eight (8) data jacks at each large benchtop; total of sixteen (16) data jacks. Additional scope includes the addition of a 6-foot fume hood and a centrifuge in Lab 385, a -80C freezer in Lab 372, and a free-standing emergency eyewash/shower in Lab 378. Eyewashes are also added at each of the three sinks in the scope of work. The existing casework and electrical raceway will also need to be reworked to accommodate the 6-foot fume hood. An exhaust fan to serve the 6-foot fume hood is also part of the scope of work. Construction Duration: 120 Calendar Days Estimated Construction Cost: $700,000 The following projects are intended to be bid as one single project: Med Surge 2 Renovations: This project includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of the existing fume hood, addition of fume hood fire extinguisher and tie into fire alarm system, repair and cleaning of casework, removal and replacement of acoustical panels, removal and replacement of lights and lighting system, installation of new mechanical ducting, rooftop unit and related roof modifications. Abatement of hazardous materials will be required. Construction Duration: 90 Calendar Days Estimated Construction Cost: $530,000 Med Surge 2 HVAC Maintenance: This project includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of the existing rooftop air handler and exhaust fan and related ductwork, removal and replacement of existing interior ductwork, systems controls, and mechanical piping. The abatement of hazardous materials will be required.
