This will include cast stone resetting and replacement including re-pointing the building as outlined in the current project phase. Please refer to the specifications and plan set for full project scope. The work of the project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of the following: TMB Exterior Preservation: Phase 1 consists of cleaning, sealing, and repairing, the East and West facades of the Tacoma Municipal Building. This work will be carried out in the general process outlined below. i. The East and west Façade of the TMB will be cleaned of atmospheric soiling and biological growth, including the removal of any remaining waterproof coating. ii. Failed patches, and incipient spalls will be removed from the east and west facades. iii. Cast stones above selected shelf angles will be removed. iv. Exposed shelf angles will be cleaned, replaced if necessary and coated. v. Removed stone and displaced stone will be reset. vi. Cast stone damaged beyond usefulness will be replaced with new stone. vii. Water proofing will be applied to the facades to seal the stone at completion of the repair work. B. Provide materials, labor, equipment, temporary facilities, and construction expertise as required to complete the Project as shown in the Contract Documents. C. Contractor represents that he has carefully examined, prior to bidding, Contract Documents, and site conditions, and understands the character, quality and quantity of work called for and conditions affecting the Contract Work.
