Plymouth, NH- Highland St, Emerson St, And Reservoir Rd Water And Sewer Improvements HIGHLAND STREET - PROJECT NO. CS-334132-09 RESERVOIR ROAD - PROJECT NO. CS-334132-10 EMERSON STREET - PROJECT NO. CS-33413 The Project consists of the following Work: Water Mains: Located in the High Service Zone - Replacement of approximately 5,300 feet of existing 10-inch water main with new 12-inch water main in Highland Street from Main Street to Reservoir Road. - Replacement of approximately 3,000 feet of existing 10-inch water main with new 16-inch water main in Reservoir Road from Highland Street to the District's water storage tank. - Replacement of approximately 470 feet of 6-inch cast iron water main with new 8-inch water main in Emerson Street from Highland Street to Merrill Street. - Replacement of approximately 550 feet of 8-inch water main with new 8-inch water main in Russell Street between Pleasant Street and Highland Street. -Cleaning and lining of approximately 3,000 linear feet of existing 12-inch water main in Highland Street between Main Street and Broadway Street. This water main is located in the Low Service Zone. Sewer Mains: -Approximately 650 linear feet of sewer replacement is on the existing 12-inch sewers in Highland Street. - Replacement of approximately 450 feet of 8-inch sewer main with new 8-inch sewer main in Binks Hill Road. - Approximately 3,550 linear feet of Cured in Place Pipe Lining (CIPP) on the existing 8-inch sewers in Highland Street, Reservoir Road and Emerson Street. - Approximately 1,700 linear feet of (CIPP) on the existing 12-inch sewers in Highland Street. - Rehabilitation of 35 sewer manholes and replacement of 10 sewer manholes Question Deadline 05/23/2025 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Location: Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, locations within the Plymouth Village Water & Sewer District's rights-of-way on the following streets and easements in the Town of Plymouth, New Hampshire 1. Highland Street 2. Emerson Street 3. Reservoir Road 4. Russell Street 5. Binks Hill Road (Falls Under Reservoir Road Bid forms C and G) Work Included: The work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, furnishing of all labor and materials and performing all work required for installation of new water and sewer force mains, gravity sewer, sewer manholes, cured in place pipe lining (CIPP) and rehabilitation of select sewer manholes, and other work as indicated on the Drawings and specified herein. 1. Highland Street Water Improvements - Bid Form A: a. Replacement of existing water main with new 12-inch water main from the intersection of Main Street and Highland Street to the intersection of Reservoir Road to Highland Street including installation and removal of temporary water bypass, erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, and other tasks asindicated on the Drawings and Specifications. b. Lining of the existing 12-inch water main (Low Service Zone) from intersection of Main Street and Highland Street to the intersection of Broadway Street to Highland Street including lining, cleaning, entry and exits pits, installation and removal of temporary water bypass, erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. c. Roadway Restoration i. Trench patch and mill and overlay based on pay limits as shown in paving details. 2. Emerson Street Water Improvements - Bid Form B: a. Replacement of existing water main with new 8-inch water main from the intersection of Merrill Street and Emerson Street to the intersection of High Street to Emerson Street including installation and removal of temporary water bypass, erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. b. Roadway Restoration i. Trench patch and mill and overlay based on pay limits as shown in paving details. 3. Reservoir Road Water Improvements - Bid Form C: a. Replacement of existing water main with new 16-inch water main from the intersection of Highland Street and Reservoir Road to the High Pressure Zone water storage tank including installation and removal of temporary water bypass, erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. b. Roadway Restoration i. Trench patch and mill and overlay based on pay limits as shown in paving details. 4. Russell Street Water Improvements - Bid Form D: a. Replacement of existing water main with new 8-inch water main from the intersection of Pleasant Street and Russell Street to the intersection of Highland Street and Russell Street including installation and removal of temporary water bypass, erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. b. Roadway Restoration i. Trench patch and mill and overlay based on pay limits as shown in paving details. 5. Highland Street Sewer Improvements - Bid Form E: a. Furnishing and installing new gravity sewer main and manholes from the intersection of Main Street and Highland Street to Approx Sta 7+35 as indicated on the Drawings including: erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, manholes, frames, and covers, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, removal of concrete slab under if encountered, paving, restoration, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. b. Rehabilitation of gravity sewers and manholes on Highland Street at areas called out on drawings including: temporary gravity sewer bypass set-up and removal, erosion control, Cured-In-Place-Lining (CIPP), sewer manhole rehabilitation, connection to existing facilities, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, paving, restoration, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. 6. Emerson Street Sewer Improvements - Bid Form F: a. Rehabilitation of gravity sewers and manholes on Emerson Street at areas called out on drawings including: temporary gravity sewer bypass set-up and removal, erosion control, Cured-In-Place-Lining (CIPP), sewer manhole rehabilitation, connection to existing facilities, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, paving, restoration, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. 7. Reservoir Road Sewer Improvements - Bid Form G: a. Furnishing and installing new gravity sewer main and manholes on Binks Hill Road as called out on the Drawings including: erosion control, trench excavation, furnishing and placing bedding material, manholes, frames, and covers, connection to existing facilities, backfilling and compaction, paving, restoration, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. b. Rehabilitation of gravity sewers and manholes on Highland Street at areas called out on drawings including: temporary gravity sewer bypass set-up and removal, erosion control, Cured-In-Place-Lining (CIPP), sewer manhole rehabilitation, connection to existing facilities, restoring areas disturbed by work to the original condition, paving, restoration, and other tasks as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications. 8. Lead Water Service Replacement- Bid Form H: a. Lead Water Service Replacement - Item 10. Lead service lines that are identified and replaced are to be covered under the Plymouth Village Water and Sewer District's lead and copper fund which would include replacing any lead pipes encountered from the start service corporation at the main to the water meter. b. There are two properties called out on the plans that are identified with a full private water service replacement but more properties may be identified during construction. c. Investigation of internal plumbing modifications on private property is to be conducted during construction. 9. All related site work including trench excavation, ledge excavation, groundwater dewatering, disposal of excess excavated materials, filter fabric, bedding, backfill, compaction, road/drive subbase, paving, loam/seed and landscaping. 10. Permits: The Plymouth Village Water & Sewer District has obtained easements from the Town for all utility work within Town owned roads. A standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be developed for handling lead or galvanized private water service line private during construction. The Contractor shall be responsible for all other permits and applications that may be required to complete the work, including a NHDOT Excavation Permit if required, 11. Other miscellaneous work shown in the Specifications for a complete and operational system PN-23-03-075
