The Project includes the following Work: This project consists of replacing sidewalk and roadway pavement along 1st Street from approximately 60 feet east of Main Street to the west side of the Union Pacific Railroad crossing; along 2nd Street, from approximately 100 feet east of Main Street to the west side of the Union Pacific Railroad crossing. The roadway and sidewalk design will include pavement replacement, where needed, and new truncated domes in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and will include insurance provisions with the Union Pacific Railroad, as appropriate. Question Deadline 05/22/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. All requests for interpretation must be received at least five days prior to the day set for receiving Bids. The Work will be substantially complete on or before September 19, 2025 and will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before November 3, 2025. The Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 5% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. The City of Gilbert reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the time set for receiving Bids. The Contract Times will commence to run within 30 days after the Effective Date of the Contract or at the end of the bid acceptance period, whichever is earlier.
