The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is requesting bids from qualified bidders for the performance of Dust Collector System Inspections for wood shops at 10 schools for a 3-year contract (2025, 2026, & 2027) with the provision for an option to extend the contract for an additional three (3) x one (1) year extensions (2028, 2029, & 2030). Contractors shall ensure that all workers are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment and that all workers operate the equipment as per the manufacturer's recommendation and as per Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. The successful contractor shall provide a criminal check of the technicians and apprentices who will be working in our school facilities upon request of the Maintenance & Capital Projects Lead/Western Region, Construction Project Coordinator (Eastern Region), or officer of the Board. All annual inspections (and maintenance if required) shall be completed by trained technicians. Technicians shall have proper identification badges and must report to the main office upon arrival at each facility site. The contractor shall be responsible for the supply of all parts and labour to complete the annual inspections during summer months and provide service when required. Contractors shall provide recommendations for individual units due to lack of performance issues and indicate any deficiencies on the reports. The contractor shall be responsible for communicating any deficiencies to the Maintenance & Capital Projects Lead/Western Region, Construction Project Coordinator (Eastern Region), and a reasonable schedule to fix the deficiency. Contractors may bid on all facilities or any number of facilities. No subcontracting shall be permitted.
