Raw Water Pumping improvements include the replacement of four existing constant speed vertical turbine pumps in Raw Water Pump Station No.1 with four new variable speed vertical turbine pumps, construction of a new valve vault adjacent to the existing pump station, addition of HVAC equipment, associated electrical and other miscellaneous pump station improvements. Work in this area also includes the addition of a new outdoor 480V, 1600 Amp automatic transfer switch and a 1600 Amp generator tap box. The Filter Effluent pump work consists of the demolition of 5 existing constant speed vertical turbine filter effluent pumps located in the filter pipe gallery in the basement of the main plant building, and the installation of two new larger constant speed vertical turbine pumps and all associated electrical modifications. The prescreen improvements work consists of the installation of two new prescreens and control panel on the membrane treatment train, the demolition of an existing prefabricated jet mix pump structure and installation of two new hot box enclosures over the existing jet mix pumps and associated electrical and piping modifications. Other electrical improvements include the addition of three automatic transfer switches and amp generator tap boxes at the Filter Building, addition of a diesel generator and outdoor 480V, 1000 Amp automatic transfer switch for the Chemical Building, and the addition of a diesel generator and an indoor automatic transfer switch at the High Service Pump Building.
