Site work for a power facility in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Working plans call for site work for a power facility.
Project is cancelled. Labor contract associated with the 115kV 1894 Line Rebuild project. The scope of this project is to replace the existing wood poles(15) and associated hardware on the 115kV 1894 Line between Holyoke and North Canal Substations. This contract will be for a Transmission Line Contractor to erect the new structures, install hardware, and transfer the existing 795 ACSR conductor, fiber optic cable, and distribution underbuilt to the new structures. This will include demolition and disposal of existing equipment. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Prevailing Wage Rates apply. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Deposit equal to 5% of the total bid value. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Payment & Performance Bond equal to 50% of the total bid value. The 1894 Line is a 115kV transmission line connecting Holyoke Substation 17L to North Canal Substation 44P in Holyoke, MA. The line is approximately 0.8 miles in length, and consists of 20 structures and 795 ACSR Tern conductor. The scope of the contract is to replace fifteen (15) wood pole structures with direct embedded ductile iron pole structures and transfer of the existing conductor and shield wire to the new structures. The four (4) existing steel pole Structures A, 1, 7, 19 and one (1) ductile iron pole Structure 9 will be reused. Under this contract, new pole line hardware is to be installed on the fifteen (15) new structures, pursuant to the design drawings included in this IFB. In addition, the existing fiber optic cable, distribution underbuild, and all other attachments are to be transferred over to the new structures as applicable. Interested Bidders are to provide labor, equipment and any other subcontractors required for all work as specified herein. Pole line hardware, as detailed in the attached material list, will be supplied by HG&E. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to provide any additional materials not included in the attached material list that are deemed necessary for the job based on the review of design drawings. It is expected that work under the contract will be completed during the Fall (October-December) of 2025.
