The project consists of abandoning approximately 4,046 linear feet of the existing thin wall, 6-inch diameter PVC water main pipe, furnishing and installing approximately 3,073 linear feet of 6-inch diameter C900 PVC pipe, 750 linear feet of 6-inch diameter fPVC pipe via trenchless installation, and 231 linear feet of steel casing pipe via trenchless installation. The project also includes the removal of nine (9) existing fi re hydrants, assembling and installing nine (9) new fi re hydrants, and replacing all existing service connections with new service connections to the existing water service meters. It is anticipated that dewatering will be required due to the location of this project adjacent to a wetland. The project also requires the restoration of disturbed landscaping, including any irrigation systems. The alternate bid for this project is the McAbee Court Water Main Replacement, located along McAbee Court in Gulf Breeze, Santa Rosa County, Florida. The alternate bid consists of abandoning approximately 560 linear feet of existing thin- walled, 6-inch diameter PVC water main pipe, furnishing and installing approximately 587 linear feet of 6-inch-diameter PVC water main pipe, furnishing and installing approximately 587 linear feet of 6- inchdiameter C900 PVC pipe and installing 175 linear feet of steeling casing pipe via trenchless installation. The City of Gulf Breeze reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any bid informalities, and to re-advertise for bids when deemed in the best interest of the City. Bidders shall not lobby or otherwise attempt to persuade or influence City Council members, officials, or staff, on decisions to be made relating to the bid, except in public presentations requested by the City.
