Question Deadline 05/13/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Bidders must submit their questions via e-mail to Matthew.Stephens@dot.ca.gov. Written questions must include: the individual's name, firm name, e-mail address and must reference IFB No. 03A4003. Detailed Description of Work A. Contractor shall possess the equipment necessary for, and have the knowledge to troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair and/or replace parts of "Aqua Cycle" Water Recycling systems, Steam Cleaners, Pressure Washers, and Industrial Vehicle Vacuum equipment. B. Contractor shall complete an annual service on all pressure washer systems as a preventative maintenance and replace any worn or damaged parts during the annual service. Must apply the recommend services in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. All annual services will be scheduled in advance by Contract Manager. C. The annual services shall be recorded with detailed preventative maintenance preformed and invoice submitted in order to initiate payment. D. Contractor shall possess the tools and the ability to troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair and/or replace parts of water pumping and transfer equipment associated with water recycling systems at various Caltrans-owned properties, facilities, and maintenance stations in District 3. E. Routine maintenance services shall include but not limited to, inspecting and servicing motors, pumps, filtering systems, heating systems, clarifiers, and tanks on the various types of wash rack systems within District 3. Replaced filters shall be disposed of in approved onsite Hazardous Waste container. Contractor shall lubricate pumps, motors, and float switches, adjusting motors, regulators, gauges, thermostats, belts, valves, air injection systems, pH control systems, chemical pumps, and flow rate controls, fill chemical drums, clean recycling systems and, if necessary, fill/refill chemical drums. F. Contractor shall work with Caltrans Contract Manager to establish a schedule for the maintenance services by location. G. Contractor shall repair/replace, if necessary and pre-approved in writing by Caltrans Contract Manager, any defective or leaking valves, filters, fillings, thermostats, plumbing, or other miscellaneous repairs. H. All equipment, parts and materials installed by Contractor shall be the same brand, type, and capacity of and functionally equal to the equipment and/or parts being replaced as directed by Caltrans Contract Manager. Contractor shall comply with appropriate codes for equipment. I. Contractor shall prepare a report giving details of deficient item(s) needing repair, overhaul, or replacement. This report shall include an estimate of cost to repair and/or replace items. The report shall be submitted to Caltrans Contract Manager for approval. J. It is understood and agreed that any work assigned is to be performed in accordance with all the terms of this Agreement.
