North Bay Hydro intends to replace the existing underground 12.47 kV cables due to age and deterioration on parts of Blair Street from Lovell Avenue to Marshall Park Drive and relocate them underground within the road allowance. The work will involve the replacement of the existing underground distribution system and includes duct work, equipment bases, restoration and services to households on parts of Blair Street from Lovell Avenue to Marshall Park Drive. Part A - Construction of Primary and Secondary Underground Services Installation of 208 meters of six (6) duct main trench. Installation of new secondary ducts to 23 houses. Installation of three (3) new transformer bases. Installation of two (2) new U-boxes. Installation of six (6) secondary junction boxes. Pulling of all conductors. Part B - Installation of Services from meter base to house electrical panel Digging from each new meter base location to the existing service entrance location. Installation of conduit for electrical wires. Part C - Electrical Work (to be tendered separately) Reconnection of 23 homes which include wire provision, installation, and connection to panel and meter base. 14 homes to have relocated meter base locations. 9 homes to maintain their existing meter base locations. 23 homes to have new 200A underground meter bases. Obtain ESA approvals for all reconnections. Construction shall commence by Thursday, July 17, 2025, and be completed by Friday, September 19th, 2025, as described in EXP's tender Schedule. This includes all works associated with Parts A, B and C. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities at his discretion. Tenderers who have submitted Tenders that have been rejected by the Owner because of informalities will normally be notified of the reasons for the rejection within ten (10) days after the closing date of Tenders.
