The project encompasses the acquisition/purchasing and installation of a new HVAC system at Windham Water Works. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department) seeks to obtain competitive bids for the renovation of the Agricultural Environmental Services (AES) Lab 7 (Phase II) in accordance with the specifications set forth herein. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) and all activities leading toward the anticipated issuance of a Construction Project Agreement between Owner and Contractor are conducted pursuant and subject to Chapters 255, and 287, Florida Statutes (F.S.), and Rule 60D-5, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). This solicitation will be administered through the Vendor Information Portal (VIP). Bidders interested in submitting a bid must comply with all terms and conditions described in this solicitation. It is the intent of the Department to make a single award, or make no award, as determined to be in the best interest of the State. Additive Alternate #1 Shall Include All Work Necessary to Renovate Room 719, Including: Remove Canopy Hoods 719a and 719b, Relocate Fume Hood 719-f, Add New Fume Hood 719-g and Fan, Rebalance Air Flows, New Flooring, Casework, and Ceilings. Additive Alternate #2 Shall Include All Work Necessary to Replace Existing Fume Hoods 722-a and 722-b, and Casework. Additive Alternate #3 Shall Include All Work Necessary to Renovate Room 709, Including: New Flooring, Casework, Ceilings, Snorkel Exhaust. Additive Alternate #4 Shall Include All Work Necessary to Replace Existing Fan F-7- 19, Above Fume Hood 719-c. Contractor Shall Refer to and Complete All Work in Accordance With the Program Scope of Work Narrative and Technical Specifications for Detailed Scope of Work Requirements and Offer Complete Pricing, Including Base Bid. All Work Shall Be in Accordance With Florida Building Code and Manufacturer's Instructions. Contractor Shall Obtain All Necessary Permits Including Any Other Drawings, Design, or Engineering Which May Be Needed for Those Permits, for a Complete Project. Contractor Shall Provide All Written, Fully Executed Warranties and Close-out Documentation at Project Completion. The contract period shall be a total of 210 calendar days, which shall consist of 180 calendar days to substantial completion of work after issuance of the Notice to Proceed and 30 calendar days beyond substantial completion to complete the project close-out process. The time for completion of the work includes, without limitation, obtaining any required permits not obtained by the Department, and other governmental and quasi-governmental approvals, acquiring bonds and interim and final inspections.
