Bids shall be valid for 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. Bids must be submitted on the City's Bid Forms. Bids must be prepared on the approved Bid forms and in the manner prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. LOCATION OF WORK: The work to be completed is located on various streets throughout the City and defined in the Construction Plans. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The proposed work shall be performed in accordance with the contract documents, including but not limited to the general conditions, special conditions, technical specifications, contract drawings, permits, and all other reference documents. In general, the work includes, but not limited to rehabilitate various streets throughout the City as defined in construction plans to apply slurry seal type II, cold milling, asphalt concrete overlay, remove and replace deteriorated pavement patches, access ramps, traffic control, traffic stripping and pavement markings, etc. The work for this contract shall not exceed 100 calendar days. Contract time shall commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed from the City. If The Work is not completed as stated in the Contract Documents, there will be liquidated damages in a sum of $2,000 per calendar day as stated in General Conditions, Article 43. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The City shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as determined from the base bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
