Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newport, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

City of Newport is Requesting Bids for the Construction of the Following Project: Water System Interconnection Improvements The Project Includes the Following Work: The Work for This Project Will Generally Consist of the Installation of a Water Main Interconnect From Cottage Grove to Newport. Ancillary Work Includes; Sanitary Sewer, Bituminous Pavement, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Seeding/restoration, and Erosion Control Items. The Anticipated Substantial Completion Date is November 14, 2025 and Final Completion Date is June 26, 2026. Prospective Bidders Are Urged to Register With online as a Plan Holder, Even if Bidding Documents Are Obtained From a Plan Room or online in Either digital or Paper Format. All Official Notifications, Addenda, and Other Bidding Documents Will Be Offered Only Through online. Neither Owner Nor Engineer Will Be Responsible for Bidding Documents, Including Addenda, if Any, Obtained From Online. The Public Entity Agrees to Comply With All of the Applicable Provisions Contained in Chapter 177 of the Minnesota Statutes, and Specifically Those Provisions Contained in Minn. Stat. 177.41 Through 177.435, as They May Be Amended, Modified or Replaced From Time to Time With Respect to the Project and the Operation of the Governmental Program on or in the Real Property and, if Applicable, Facility. By Agreeing to This Provision, the Public Entity is Not Acknowledging or Agreeing That the Cited Provisions Apply to the Project or the Operation of the Governmental Program on or in the Real Property and, if Applicable, Facility. No Proposal Will Be Accepted Unless Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond Equal to at Least 5% of the Amount Bid, Payable to the Owner as a Guarantee That, if the Bid is Accepted, the Bidder Will Execute and File the Proper Contract and Bond Within 15 Days After the Award of the Contract. The Certified Check or Bid Bond Will Be Returned to the Bidder as Soon as the Contract is Signed, and if After 15 Days the Bidder Shall Fail to Do So, the Certified Check or Bid Bond Shall Be Forfeited to the Owner as Liquidated Damages. No Bidder May Withdraw Their Bid Within 60 Days After the Actual Date of the Opening Thereof. Owner Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities or to Reject Any or All Bids.
