The City of Cranbrook is inviting Tenders from qualified parties for the screening of excavation spoils at the Public Works Yard located at 201 Cobham Ave. W. in Cranbrook, BC. The City is looking to screen approximately 10,600 m3 of spoils from emergency infrastructure repairs. Spoils consist of mainly rock and clay spoils with some asphalt, concrete and other miscellaneous debris. The successful Bidder will provide equipment for screening and tramming of screened material to the aggregate storage area located at the Public Works Yard. Work will commence between the hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday. The City of Cranbrook had the spoils surveyed in April 2024 and it was determined that 10,600 m3 was available for screening to achieve an elevation of 930.74 m. The successful bidder will be required to screen all spoils above the elevation of 930.74 m. In addition to any other reservation of rights set out in the ITT, the City, in its' sole discretion, reserves the right: a) to reject any or all Tenders, or any part thereof; b) to reject a Tender even if it is the only one received; c) to accept a Tender which is not the lowest Tender; d) to accept all or any part of a Tender; e) to waive any informality in the Tenders; f) where the City determines that all Tender prices are too high, to reject all Tenders; and g) to accept any Tender that is in the best interest of the City.
