Project Description: The City of Geneva Water Treatment Plant, built in 2007, is an 8MGD Reverse Osmosis plant. Finished water is sent to a one (1) million gallon above ground reservoir where it is then pumped into the system by high service pumps located inside the Water Treatment Plant. The plant was designed with space for a second reservoir next to the existing one. System demand along with the need to be able to take the existing reservoir out of service for maintenance, has necessitated the need for a second matching above ground reservoir. Existing reservoir design drawings available for inspection. Contact Mike Anderson at mander-son@geneva.il.us to schedule an appointment. The City is requesting assistance from an experienced firm(s) to complete the following tasks: 1. Prepare design and bidding documents for a new above ground reservoir to be used in combination with the existing reservoir or by itself. 2. Provide engineer's estimate of probable cost. 3. Review bids. 4. Perform construction inspection services. RFQ Evaluations: The Consultant shall submit (A) six (6) copies of the qualifications OR (B) two (2) hard copies and a PDF version on a thumb drive. City staff will review the RFQs based on the firm's experience, project team, and effectiveness of previous work. The City reserves the right to interview one or more short-listed firms prior to final selection. Schedule: The City desires to have the design completed by November 28, 2025 so staff can budget for construction after May 1, 2026.
