This Request for Documented Quotations (DQ) is issued by the State of Colorado, acting by and through the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS). Enclosed is a brief description and bid schedule for the Hematite Burrows Project. PROJECT LOCATION The Hematite Burrows Project is located near Silverton, Colorado in San Juan County. The mine locations are primarily on the Hematite Lake Trail, but there are two features in Burrows Gulch. The Hematite Lake trailhead is located 3.5 miles from the town of Silverton along County Road 2 and Burrows Gulch is located 13 miles from the town of Silverton along County Road 2. Please see the attached maps. PROJECT DATES The project is scheduled for construction between August 15, 2025 and September 15, 2025. This includes ten (10) days mobilization time. TIME OF COMPLETION The time of completion allowed for the project is 32 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This includes ten (10) days mobilization time. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The liquidated damages for this project will be $400.00 per day. Please see General Conditions, Article 39. The State reserves the right to reject any changes suggested to Purchase Order or Contract Terms and Conditions and award to the next most advantageous qualified responsive vendor.
