Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Piedmont, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a 18,000-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Demolition work on the current administrative building, soil decontamination, and construction of a new administrative building next to the municipal garage of the Piedmont Municipality. The two-storey building will house: Ground floor: employee cafeteria, restrooms, locker rooms, and showers for 20-25 employees, electrical room, mechanical room, concierge room, a reception desk. Upstairs: administrative offices and a conference room. TIMELINE: The owner has cancelled the project due to fundings constraints and submitted an application for financial assistance to provincial authorities. Future of the project is not determined. The project will be followed if it proceeds to a design stage in a new separate report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
