Bids for removal and replacement of gymnasium rubber flooring at Sequoyah Elementary The selected contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Removal of Existing Flooring Area: Approximately 4,428 square feet of gymnasium flooring. Work to be performed: Remove existing rubber flooring or any other flooring system currently installed. Properly dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local and state regulations. 2. Surface Preparation Prepare the concrete subfloor for the installation of the new rubber flooring. Ensure the floor is level, clean, dry, and free from debris or contaminants that could affect the installation of the new flooring. Any necessary repairs or floor leveling should be included in the proposal. 3. Installation of New Rubber Flooring Flooring System: The new floor system must be Advanced TBD-8R Mondo Flooring System or an equivalent product. The flooring must be designed for gymnasium use, providing proper traction, durability, and shock absorption for high-impact sports activities. The flooring must meet all safety and performance standards required for gymnasium environments, including but not limited to slip resistance and appropriate cushioning. Installation must be performed in compliance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standards for commercial gymnasium floors. 4. Edge Treatments and Transitions Properly install edge treatments and transitions where the gymnasium flooring meets other surfaces, ensuring a smooth and safe transition. 5. Post-Installation Clean-Up After the installation, the contractor is responsible for cleaning the area, removing all waste materials, and leaving the gymnasium floor in a clean, safe, and usable condition. Provide instructions for the care and maintenance of the new flooring.
