Renovation of a municipal facility in Jessup, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of July 01, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Scope of work for the tenant space renovation project comprises the following. On the first floors of the 7 tenant spaces numbered 4, 10,12,14,16, 26 and 28, all prior tenant improvements will be removed. New demising walls will be provided between bays 10 and 12 and between bays 26 and 28. The goal is to have 7 identical clean shell spaces of 2,030 SF each in the end. Each space will have an office and a toilet room that will be brought up to current ADA standards. Bays 12 and 28 will have offices and toilet rooms added anew. In Bays 4, 10,14,16, and 26 offices and toilet rooms exist, and they will be renovated. Concrete slabs will be replaced where required and new trench drains provided in each first-floor space. All mechanical and electrical infrastructure for the spaces will be new. Second Floor renovations comprise removal of all tenant improvements and reconfiguration of the spaces to provide one office dedicated to each bay below. The second-floor office spaces will be fully finished and ready for occupancy. The first-floor spaces will be refreshed and ready for subsequent tenant improvements by future tenants. The MFCA reserves the right to cancel this solicitation or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive minor irregularities in bids, or allow the Bidder to correct minor irregularities, The Maryland Food Center Authority is an independent agency of the State of Maryland. The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is for the Maryland Food Center Authority (MFCA) to secure through a competitive procurement process, the services of a company to provide General Contractor Services for the renovations of spaces (units) at the Maryland Market Center (MMC) as specified in Section VIII, located within the Maryland Food Center in Jessup, Howard County, Maryland. Services shall be performed in accordance with the Scope of Work and the attached Plans and Specifications in Sections III and VIII. The services and materials provided and the resulting work product shall comply with all appropriate specifications and professional standards, and with all applicable laws, codes, regulations, and procedures.
