This work shall consist of all labor, materials and equipment required to maintain traffic within the construction influence area of the EGLE Project No. 7771-01 Contract #1: Water Main and Lead Service Line Replacements. work consists of providing a film (DVD) record of physical, structural and aesthetic conditions of the area described as: 1. Construction Zone from POB to POE to define the project length and from Rights of Way to Rights of Way to define the project width. The Audio-Visual Filming shall capture the area defined above as it exists prior to the beginning of any construction activity. Ensure the film is of professional quality and provides a clear and accurate visual record of existing conditions. Complete filming, under the supervision of the Engineer, before any construction activity is started. Furnish the completed DVD to the Engineer at least 7 calendar days prior to placement of any materials or equipment in the construction area. Re-film any portion of the DVD determined by the Engineer to be unacceptable for the documentation of existing conditions prior to the start of any construction activity at no cost to the Department. Work includes the removal and disposal of existing pavement and driveways as specified on the plans, in the Proposal, or as directed by the Engineer. Work shall be performed in accordance with section 204 of the Standard Specifications for Construction, except that additional payment will not be made for multiple layers of pavement or driveway regardless of thickness and type of pavement. This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete exploratory excavation where the Contractor needs to locate and expose underground infrastructure and obstructions, such as culverts, sewers, and utilities as approved by the Engineer. Perform this work only when conflicts are found in the planned work location. This special provision is not to compensate for the Contractor's responsibilities in subsection 107.12 of the MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction.
