Each bid shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, or a Certified Check, Cashier's Check,, or Money Order, on a solvent bank, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, including alternates, made payable to the Owner, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Any and all bonds required to be furnished and delivered pursuant to the "contract" including, but not limited to, bid bonds, performance bonds, and/or payment bonds, shall be in conformity with the provisions of Michigan Revised Code. Specifically, any and all bonds required shall be issued and executed by a surety company authorized to conduct business in the state of Michigan and shall be acceptable to the Architect and Owner.
