Site work for a civil project in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Water and sewer infrastructure rehabilitation work benefiting from financial assistance under the Gas Tax and Quebec Contribution 2024-2028 (TECQ) program. The underground infrastructure and pavement reconstruction projects for the following street sections: Project 1: Boul. de Portland between boul. North and Farwell Street. The project also includes the addition of one-way bicycle lanes between rue Farwell and boul. Lionel-Groulx. Estimated budget is between $5,200,000 and $6,600,000. Project 2: Rue du Conseil between rue Bruno-Dandenault and rue Saint-Francois Sud. Estimated budget is $2,800,000. TIMELINE: Contract for engineering services to complete design and monitor construction work has been awarded following request for proposals # AO 21213. Reference number: 20068481. 50% of design is to be completed by November, 2025. Working drawings are to be completed by late January, 2026. Tenders for general contractor are anticipated in mid-March, 2026. Construction work is expected to be carried out between May and November, 2026. Further update in early 2026.
