Completed plans call for the addition of a 6,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Project Locations: a Mountain Heritage High School: 333 Mountain Heritage High School Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714 All questions must be submitted by Friday, June 27 th at 12:00pm so they can be addressed by addendum. Project consists of a 6,000 square foot pre-fabricated metal building on the Mountain Heritage High School Campus. This building will house a portion of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program and include (2) workshop areas, (1) classroom, (1) administrative office, (1) storage/tool room, (2) restrooms, dust collection system, and fire alarm systems. This project will meet ADA accessibility requirements and require grading and surrounding paving of the parking area including access roads. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages of $500 per day until Substantial Completion and $250 per day from Substantial Completion until Final Completion. 1.7 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to walve any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make award in the best interests of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to award a partial amount of the Work rather than the entire amount. E All bids submitted shall be valid for a period of at least ninety (90) days from date of bid opening: the only alterations which will be allowed will be those approved by the Owner. F All bids submitted for alternates shall be valid for a period of at least six (6) months from date of bid opening; the only alterations which will be allowed will be those approved by the Owner. G All Contractors submitting bids shall be in compliance with all wage requirements enacted by the State of North Carolina. H. As part of their bid, all Contractors are required to sign, notarize, and return the contractor certificates included with this bid bid package.
