Reference Number 0000386739 Delivery Point Nunn, CO Purchase Type One Time Only- Delivery Date:12/30/2026 Task 1: Engineering The plan will include an assessment of the hazard prone areas and how if affects the Town of Nunn: A. Review existing flood study information and FEMA offsite drainage basins (natural based solutions). B. Utilize existing topographic contours. C. Filed measure the size of existing culverts and drainage structures at appropriate street crossings. D. Identify stormwater (100 year) runoff flows that enter town limits. E. Identify areas/ locations within the Town that currently experience drainage problems. F. Identify conceptual significant improvements to be considered for future development. G. Outline drainage design criteria to be utilized as development occurs in the future, H. Review of study with Engineer, the Town of Nunn Board, and the Town Staff. Task 2: Surveying A. Utilize publicly available FEMA and other flood mapping data / resources. B. Provide Surveying along right of ways to understand flows and road elevations. C. Detailed Survey of existing culverts and drainage areas. Task 3 Community Engagement concurrent with Task 4 developing strategy: A. Develop and facilitate a public input process. B. Solicit Community Impact data regarding drainage within the town of Nunn through community canvassing. C. Communicate Master Drainage Plan to the Community. D. Explore Community Input regarding priority of drainage plan mitigation projects in the future. Task 4: The Town of Nunn will participate in the development of a Master Drainage Plan that reflects the results of the civil engineering design and surveying mitigation strategies and will include the following: A. Document the Town of Nunn's existing capabilities (authorities, policies, programs, and resources) related to Drainage Planning and its ability to expand on and improve these existing tools. B. Overall goals for reducing risk in the planning area. C. Specific mitigation actions and projects to reduce the impacts identified with the emphasis of the roads within the Town of Nunn. D. A description of Nunn's participation in the NFIP and continued compliance with the NFIP requirements. E. A description of how the Town of Nunn will prioritize and implement the mitigation actions identified. F. The Town of Nunn will submit the draft plan and completed FEMA Local Mitigation Plan Review tool to the DHSEM Mitigation planning team for review of compliance with FEMA HMP requirements. DHSEM will forward the plan to FEMA for review and Approvable Pending Adoption (APA) Staus. The contractor will revise the plan as required by DHSEM and FEMA (Note: These changes may be required after final payment is made to the contractor, to maximize the grant award, but final payment does not relieve the contractor of delivery of a FEMA approved plan). Upon receiving APA status, Nunn will formally adopt the plan and provide a resolution to FEMA for final plan approval.
