Site work for a civil project in Thomas, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of the installation of a PVC liner inside an existing 50,000 Gallon Water Storage Tank, 1,300 LF of 8 Ductile Iron Water Pipe, 1 EA 8 Gate Valve, 1,300 LF of WVDOH Rock Lined Ditch, and other miscellaneous items of work. All work as described below shall be substantially complete within 210 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 240 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to City of Thomas in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Each Bidder must fully comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions as set forth in the contract documents to achieve Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation during the performance of this contract. The bidder commits itself to the program for DBE participation and all other requirements, terms, and conditions of the bid conditions by submitting a properly signed bid. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. City of Thomas reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.
