Remodel In general, the work consists of : 24,459 square feet of interior renovation on the first floor of Steenbock Memorial Library. Program space includes two (2) large format active learning classrooms, study rooms, restrooms, and open study areas. Sub Bid Date 6/12/25 1:00pm Renovation work includes demolition of interior CMU and drywall and stud partitions, ceilings, doors and frames, and interior finishes. Exterior work is removal and introduction of aluminum storefront entrance and vestibule with doors and glazing. Utility work for a new water line to serve the fire sprinkler system with entrance in the basement level. Construct new interior metal stud and drywall partitions, hollow metal doors, frames, side and borrowed glass lites, door hardware, drywall soffits, benches, booths, and casework. Interior finish installation of paint, floor and wall tile, acoustic ceiling system, acoustic suspended ceiling baffles, carpet, walk off carpet, rubber flooring, wall base, acoustic panels, and bench upholstery. Mechanical work includes demolition of ductwork, air terminals with reheat coils, and pneumatic controls. Existing ductwork to be cleaned. Installation of ductwork, duct insulation, VAV terminal equipment, ductless spilt terminal unit at telecommunication room, DDC controls and panels. Plumbing work includes demolition of fixtures and piping with installation of fixtures and piping at restrooms, janitor room, and drinking fountains. Work includes introduction of a water base fire suppression system throughout the first floor, standpipes in stairways, and a fire department connection. Electrical includes new light fixtures, lighting controls, power, and extension of fire alarm system devices with heat and smoke detectors. Audiovisual/telecommunication includes a telecommunication room, cables, AV systems in active learning classrooms, study rooms, offices, digital displays, and digital signage.
