**As of June 03, 2025, the project was awarded to Thing Quality Construction but the awarded amount is not available.** The Work to be bid as follows: Construction of a 16-foot by 24-foot picnic shelter featuring a gable style metal roof, six 6x6 structural support posts and a concrete floor slab. The shelter is intended for public or private outdoor recreational use and will provide protection from the elements. Scope of Work The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following: 2.1 Site Preparation - Clear and grade the designated site area of approximately 16'x24', including a perimeter work zone. - Remove vegetation, debris, and topsoil as needed. - Establish formwork and grade for the concrete pad. 2.2 Concrete Floor - Excavate and prepare the site for a 4" thick turned-down monolithic slab. Turned down depth will be a minimum of 12". - Install appropriate compacted gravel base (minimum 4"). - Place reinforcing wire mesh. - Pour and finish concrete slab to a smooth, broom-finished surface. - Provide control joints as required. - Allow proper curing time before proceeding with structure installation. 2.3 Structural Framing - Install six (6) pressure-treated 6x6 posts (minimum 8' height), securely anchored to the concrete using PERMA Column Sturdi-Wall wet-set brackets. - Posts shall be plumb and braced during construction. - Install beams, Trusses, and necessary bracing to support the gable roof structure using pressure-treated or engineered lumber. - Ensure structure meets local wind and snow load requirements. 2.4 Roof Structure - Construct a gable-style roof with appropriate slope for drainage (minimum 4:12). - Install 2x manufactured trusses per manufactures specifications. - Install metal roofing panels (26 or 29 gauge), including ridge cap, gable trim, and closure strips. - All fasteners shall be corrosion-resistant and approved for metal roofing installation. - Install 5" Gutters and matching downspouts. - Install siding material on gable ends with plywood backing or equivalent. 3. Deliverables - Completed 16'x24' picnic shelter with gable metal roof, gutters, and finished concrete floor. - Site cleaned and cleared of construction debris. - Structure ready for public use. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All bidders and bidder subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with the West Virginia Contractor's Licensing Act.
