Reference Number 0000387039 The project involves installing repairs on several roofs at Sterling Correctional Facility. These roof systems have been damaged by a windstorm. Five of the roofs are low slope and will require adhered EPDM roofing repairs. These repairs require the removal of the existing roof and insulation with replacement with like kind. One roof is a sloped standing seam metal roof system. A portion of this roof will also require new standing seam sheet metal roofing. The roofs involved in the project and a simple description of the repairs are listed below. The low slope roofing repairs have a total area of 38,050 sf. The high slope roofing replacement area totals 3,810 sf. Support Building - Low Slope Adhered EPDM Repair High Custody Housing Building - Low Slope Adhered EPDM Repair Living Units 1 & 2 - Low Slope Adhered EPDM Repair Living Units 3 & 4 - Low Slope Adhered EPDM Repair Vocational Building - Low Slope Adhered EPDM Repair Warehouse Building - High Slope Sheet Metal Roofing Repair The work involves installing both high slope sheet metal and low slope EPDM roofing repairs. Where repairs are needed the existing roofing system shall be removed to the substrate decking or sheet metal framing. New EPDM roofing shall then be installed that matches the existing roofing assemblies. This includes some locations which will require tapered roof insulation. To completed roof systems must carry both manufacturers and roofing contractors' warranties. The sheet metal roofing repair will be performed on a roof system that has 3.5-inch-tall standing seams. A specific manufacturer must be used in this repair so as to match the adjacent roofing. The existing sheet metal roof panels shall be removed. These panels sit on open steel framing. New sheet metal panels and associated trim flashings shall then be installed. The work will require the use of multiple trades. The anticipated trades are as follows.
