The qualified and licensed carpet contractor must perform the following tasks: Removal and Disposal of Existing Carpet: Removal: Existing carpet and padding are carefully removed from the space, ensuring minimal damage to the substrate floor. Disposal: The old carpet and padding are either recycled or properly disposed Floor Preparation: Inspection: The contractor inspects the substrate floor for any damage or issues that need to be addressed before carpet installation.
