No definite date for the rebid.** Reference Number 0000387076 SCOPE OF WORK: Supply and install flush-mounted acoustic ceiling panels in Conference Room 209. Price is based on 1 day of work. Total Ceiling Surface: 774.4ft2. Approach: Do not screw, drill, or sand directly to the existing surface. Soundproofing Materials & Installation: A. Drop Ceiling (Suspended Ceiling Grid) Metal grid system suspended below the original ceiling using perimeter-mounted wall tracks. No anchors or fasteners into the existing ceiling. B. Materials: Acoustic ceiling tiles. Optional: Install resilient channels or sound isolation clips if doing a furring layer on framing below. C. Acoustic Panels with Stand-off Mounts If a full drop ceiling isn't feasible: Mount acoustic panels on isolated frames or standoffs that are anchored to walls, not the ceiling. Leave a small air gap between the existing ceiling and the panels to reduce sound transfer. D. Floating Acoustic Ceiling System Build a new system below the existing one, isolated by: Hanging joists or steel framing from wall brackets only. Insert sound-dampening insulation between new and old ceiling. E. Avoid Penetrating or adhering directly to the ceiling. Vibration-transmitting mounts.
