Rowan University invites proposals from qualified, licensed vendors to provide On-Call Contractor services for all University Campus locations. The University intends to award multiple vendors for On-Call Flooring Contractor Services for projects under $125,000 at all campus locations. A. The University is seeking one or more contractors on an as-needed basis for the following: 1. Flooring B. It is the goal of this RFP to identify a pool of contractors who are pre-approved and available for projects. Due to the essential life safety aspects of the service contract, Contractors are required to meet all criteria outlined in this RFP. C. During the period of the contract or any extension thereof, Rowan University reserves the right to add or delete specific services and/or locations at the prevailing contract prices. The contractor will be given seven (7) days' notice to effect requested changes. D. Any labor or material, in addition to that described herein, determined to be necessary to comply with the terms outlined throughout the RFP and any industry rules, ordinances or regulations shall be performed and furnished by the contractor at no additional cost to the University. E. Unless otherwise approved, work under this contract shall be accomplished during normal University work hours. These hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am until 4:00 pm. However, there may be projects that require work to be done outside the normal working hours. Additionally, contractors are expected to honor all University holidays. F. Any travel time for which a contractor is obligated to pay his employees should be considered as part of overhead, and allowances for such, figured into the flat hourly rate quote to the University. The University will make every effort to group work order/projects so that employees can be assigned to work on campus for a full workday; or so that contractor employees can be assigned to work lasting at least one-half workday, beginning or ending their workday at the University. G. Reasonable means of access to the equipment to be inspected will be provided. However, advanced notice may be required. H. The Contractor shall not shutdown any equipment unless permission is first obtained from the University's designee. I. Emergency Response: The awarded contractor shall respond within two (2) hours to all emergency service calls. A list of personnel authorized to make emergency services calls will be given to the successful contractor. Question Deadline 05/21/2025 Questions will not be accepted by telephone.
