General Project Description: The Project will consist of minor interior renovations to the existing Public Safety Headquarters, located at 500 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, MA, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression modifications. The construction delivery method is Design-Bid-Build. Construction is estimated to take approximately 3 months to complete. This is an occupied building performing emergency services that cannot be interrupted. As such, project phasing will be required per 01 1000 Summary of Work and noted on the bod drawings. The awarded General Contractor will be required to provide a proposed schedule for approval and inclusion in the construction contract. The Town of Seekonk is committed to sustainability through the adoption of the Stretch Energy Code but this project will not be required to meet any additional third party certification such as LEED, Green Globes, WELL, etc.
