Great River Greening seeks proposals and quotes from qualified and experienced firms to perform the selective habitat enhancement activities across 48 acres area at the Cannon River Wilderness Area in Rice county MN. Requested services for this project are for oak savanna restoration and invasive woody species treatment and removal. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide interested firms with sufficient information to prepare and submit qualifications for consideration by Great River Greening for the restoration of areas of Cannon River Wilderness Area. project-specific questions regarding the RFP contents can be directed towards the Project Manager, at mtuma@greatrivergreening.org or at (651) 210-9473 no later than May 27th, 2025 by 4:30pm. Participation at the Pre-Bid Site Meeting is mandatory. Participation will be limited to two (2) people per firm. If you are intending to send representative(s) to this meeting, please send an RSVP to Mike Tuma who can be reached at mtuma@greatrivergreening.org or 651-210-9473 at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Primary Objective: Buckthorn and woody invasive initial removal with continued multi-year follow-up control, and native tree thinning in oak savanna area. The project will conclude no later than May 30th 2029.
