Renovation of a mixed-use development in North Chicago, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Demolish and replace an existing 1,000-ton York centrifugal chiller and associated systems. Work includes removal of the existing chiller and installation of a new 1,000-ton water-cooled centrifugal magnetic drive chiller; replacement and installation of chilled water and condenser water pumps, variable frequency drives (VFDs), local piping, valves, chemical feed systems, electrical power components, and controls. The project requires integration of all new equipment with the existing chiller plant to restore long-term reliability and ensure compliance with current VA design standards, industry standards, and all facility safety and infection control requirements. The contractor shall complete all work within 348 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Location: Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064. Estimated price range for construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.
