Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of June 18, 2025, the project was awarded to Northeast Asphalt Inc but the awarded amount is not available.** The Project includes the following Work: Pavement rehabilitation of approximately 1,400 feet of Maloney Road, from Lau Road to southern town limits. Pavement rehabilitation of three parking lots located in the Town, including Town Hall Parking Lot, Town Shop Parking Lot and Historical Society Parking Lot. Work will include pulverizing, grading, repaving the existing asphalt roadway and parking lots, traffic control and erosion control. The anticipated substantial completion date is October 3, 2025 and final completion date is October 17, 2025. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. This project is to provide roadway improvements for the Town of Freedom, Wisconsin. It is the intent of these specifications that the Owner be provided a complete project functioning as required and meeting the requisites of all applicable rules and regulations. The Contractor shall be responsible to comply with the intent of these specifications. B. Maloney Road. Recondition the roadway which is approximately 1390 feet long, by pulverizing the existing pavement and base, fine grading, install 2-inch asphalt binder course and 1.5-inch asphalt surface course, and 2-foot gravel shoulder. The project starts at the Town line and ends at Lau Road. Replace driveways with asphalt pavement to the right of way. Seed, fertilize and erosion mat all disturbed turf areas. Once 70% turf vegetation has been established, the Contractor shall remove all erosion control devices. C. Town Hall Parking Lot. Recondition the parking lot which is approximately 840 square yards, by milling the top 2-inches of existing asphalt pavement, remove the millings, and install 2-inch asphalt surface course. The parking lot reconditioning starts at the back of curb of County Highway E and to approximately 75' towards Town Hall. Once 70% turf vegetation has been established, the Contractor shall remove all erosion control devices. D. Town Shop Parking Lot. Pave the gravel parking lot which is approximately 1400 square yards. The existing gravel will need to be regraded and then paved with a 2-inch asphalt binder course and a 1.5-inch asphalt surface course. Install topsoil, seed, fertilizer and erosion mat for all disturbed turf areas. Once 70% turf vegetation has been established, the Contractor shall remove all erosion control devices. E. Historical Society Parking Lot. Recondition the parking lot which is approximately 935 square yards, by pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement and base, fine grading, and install 2-inch asphalt binder course, 1.5-inch asphalt surface course, and install topsoil, seed, fertilizer and erosion mat for all disturbed turf areas. Once 70% turf vegetation has been established, the Contractor shall remove all erosion control devices.
