The Central Alabama Regional Planning and DevelopmentCommission (CARPDC) is soliciting Contractors to contractwith this office for bidding privileges with our WeatherizationAssistance Program (WAP) andall other housing programs weoffer in Autauga, Elmore, Chilton, Dallas, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Shelby and RussellCounties. New Contractors not already onCARPDC's qualified contractorlist must complete the necessary application and provideproof of the following information: 1. A Building Performance Institute Approved Weatherization Training Certificate or atleast (5) years experience inthe Weatherization AssistanceProgram as a contractor. (WAPonly) 2. Proof of General Liabilitycoverage inclusive of bodily injury and property damage, with limits of no less than$1,000,000.00 per occurrenceand $2,000,000.00 in the general aggregate. 3. Proof of Workman's Compensation Insurance 4. State of Alabama BusinessLicense 5. Alabama Home Builders License or General Contractor'sLicense 6. Certified Lead Renovator'scertificates and Lead Renovation Firm Status Additionally, contractors mustpossess and demonstrate proficiency with the Blower Door AirTightness System and use saidequipment on every unit to reachtargeted air flow rates and conduct proper pressure testing. AllContractors must be capable ofproviding dense-pack wall insulation measures at a 3.2 psior higher compaction. A goodquality infrared camera will beneeded to check for voids in theinstalled insulation negating callbacks which will be at the Contractor's expense. Gas fitters,Electrical, HVAC and Plumbingsubcontractor licenses and insurances will also be required(WAP only).
