Questions regarding the bid package should be directed in writing to James Johnston via email. All questions must be received by May 23, 2025. A brief description of work in the project as follows: Project scope includes renovations and deferred maintenance to the Auditorium and Group Restrooms, and addition of new group restroom in the media center. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. A 5% Bid Bond and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S. law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States - either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.) Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation. The Guilford County Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicapped condition as defined by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities.
