The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for Pedestrian Access Route and Sidewalk improvement at various locations in New Castle County. Work intended to occur outside of municipal jurisdictions. DelDOT's ADA Self-Assessment and Transition Plans lays out a schedule to convert known and inventoried pedestrian facilities that do not meet ADA compliance. This project will develop individual construction work orders to convert non-compliant pedestrian facilities to current ADA compliance standards. The project will also help fill in missing sidewalk links/connections to enhance pedestrian mobility. Follow other incidental construction in accordance with the location, notes and details shown on the plans, and as directed by the Engineer.
