The City of Wright City (City) is seeking bids for an Asphalt Overlay on Roelker Road. The Roelker Road project area will run from East Veterans Memorial Parkway (S. Service Road) heading south on Roelker Road to Fruit Farm. For questions or additional information on this bid, contact Kyle Roettger, Public Works Director, at (636) 237-5194 or email – kroettger@wrightcitymo.gov SCOPE OF WORK The new Project is 10,899 linear feet (2.06 miles); however, interested bidders are required to take their own measurements as the City will not guarantee the accuracy of the estimated area as provided for the sole purpose of conveying project scale. a. Generally, work shall consist of: i. Milling butt joints at all adjoining surfaces, concrete and asphalt. Clean, tack and placement of a 1" leveling course. Supply all signage and flaggers during project. ii. Identify and notify the City of any existing and/or potential problems with the roadway or other related road structures and materials. iii. Apply tack and pave with 2" BP-2 asphalt overlay. Clean up any debris at end of each work day. iv. Paint solid white edge lines (white waterborne pavement paint, type p beads) and double lined centerlines (yellow waterborne pavement paint, type p beads) b. Compliance: i. All work shall comply with the standards and specifications provided with this RFP. *Subject to change at discretion of the City. ii. All work shall comply with the Wright City Standard Specifications for Street Construction. c. Pricing: i. Pricing shall be provided as indicated on the Bid Form. d. Special Conditions: i. Pricing shall include considerations for related structures and materials typically encountered within the normal scope for work of this type. f. Billing and Payment: i. Contractor shall submit a single invoice for this project with the exception of approved change orders.
