The project is expected to be awarded on July 01, 2025.** The following legal notice is to receive bids for resurfacing various county and township roads with Item 441 Asphalt Concrete per Allen County specifications. The resurfacing will consist of an average thickness of 1-1/2" of asphalt concrete to match the width of the existing pavement. Item 407 Tack Coat will be applied to the existing pavement before resurfacing. The total number of miles being resurfaced is approximately 19.77 miles of which 13.30 miles make up the TOWNSHIP ROADS RESURFACING 2025 OPWC PROJECT, an Issue 1 funded project. Also included in the project are 6,909 square yards of asphalt planing and 70 butt joints at various project termini and intersections. All of the roads, as listed on the project lists, will require flaggers. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials,services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Allen County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a 10% Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Sections 153.54 and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must provide evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 24, 2025. To allow proper time for the paperwork to be processed, the contractor will not commence work before July 22, 2025.
